Care Fertility London Review: Is It the Best IVF Clinic in the UK?

When I submitted an appointment request to Care Fertility London, I expected a standard follow-up. But what I got was something a little more... curated. Their team responded promptly, inviting me to speak with someone one-on-one to walk me through the patient pathway before even booking a consultation.

It felt personal — and intentional — which sets a tone many fertility clinics don’t always hit.

But is Care Fertility really the best option in London? Let’s break down what they offer, what sets them apart, and a few things to look out for.

What is Care Fertility?

Care Fertility is one of the most established fertility clinic networks in the UK, with over 15 locations, including a major clinic in London. They position themselves as leaders in IVF science and patient outcomes — and according to them, their clinics “offer the best fertility results in the UK.”

They focus on IVF, ICSI, egg and embryo freezing, donor conception, and more, and claim to combine cutting-edge science with compassionate care.

First Impressions from Booking

After filling out their online form, I got a friendly email explaining next steps:

  • I’d need to call them to talk through my goals before booking an appointment.

  • Their team was available Monday–Saturday, which is great for anyone working full-time.

  • They sent over a brochure and a link to their pricing page and upcoming virtual information events.

It’s a small thing, but this kind of structured personal outreach helped me feel like I wasn’t just another number in their system.

What About Costs?

Let’s be honest — Care Fertility is not the cheapest clinic in London.

Their full price list is available on their website, and while I appreciate the transparency, many of their treatments sit at the higher end of the private fertility price range:

  • IVF cycle (excluding meds): ~£3,450–£5,000+

  • Egg freezing: From ~£3,000+ (excluding meds, storage, and follow-ups)

  • ICSI, FETs, and other add-ons are all extra

They also offer payment plans and multi-cycle packages, but it’s not a budget option like abc ivf or NHS referral (if eligible).

Success Rates and Science

Care Fertility claims to have industry-leading success rates, and they do offer a wide range of advanced treatments, including:

  • Genetic testing (PGT-A/PGT-M)

  • Immune testing and reproductive immunology

  • Time-lapse embryo monitoring

  • Access to both donor egg and donor sperm banks

This could be particularly reassuring if:

  • You’ve had failed cycles elsewhere

  • You’re over 35 and want to maximise your chances

  • You want a clinic that’s proactive about underlying causes of infertility

You can view age-specific success rates on the HFEA website for Care London — and I’d recommend doing that before committing, especially if egg quality or ovarian reserve is a concern.

Patient Experience

Based on their communication, Care Fertility feels structured but human. They want to talk to you before anything begins — to answer questions, explain costs, and ensure you understand what’s ahead.

That said, because they’re such a large provider, some people online say the experience can feel more corporate than personal once you're deeper into treatment. It may depend on which doctor you’re assigned and your expectations for continuity of care.

What to Be Aware Of

While Care Fertility seems trustworthy and reputable, here are a few things to consider:

1. They’re not inexpensive

Costs add up quickly — consultations, medications, blood tests, and storage are usually separate. Ask for a complete quote before starting, especially for egg freezing or IVF.

2. You need to call to book

There’s no direct online appointment system — they want to talk to you first. While that’s helpful for some, others may prefer a smoother, self-service approach.

3. They promote add-ons

Care Fertility offers lots of additional tests and options (genetic screening, endometrial tests, etc.). These can be valuable — but also expensive and, in some cases, controversial in terms of necessity. Ask questions. Do your research.

Who It’s Best For

Care Fertility might be ideal for you if:

  • You’ve had previous IVF or fertility challenges

  • You want access to cutting-edge diagnostics and testing

  • You’re considering donor conception

  • You’re OK with paying more for a high-touch, full-service experience

It might not be your best fit if:

  • You’re looking for a budget-friendly first round of egg freezing

  • You want a DIY or minimalist fertility approach

  • You prefer a smaller, more intimate clinic with a single consultant

How to Book or Learn More

Final Thoughts

Care Fertility is clearly one of the UK’s top IVF providers — and if you’re looking for a science-first, full-service clinic with a wide range of options, they’re worth serious consideration.

But the high cost, emphasis on testing, and large-scale model might not suit everyone. As with all clinics, it’s worth doing a consultation, asking tough questions, and comparing your options — both in London and beyond.
